| I think its time that we really started pulling together and think about other people for a change. Our government is clearly not doing this, in fact, in this LJers opinion, it is becoming evident that our government is working against this. Its the holiday season and we have so many that are being turned out due to our plummeting economy. People like you and me, hell, maybe even you, that had a dream, followed it and lost it before they had any hope of enjoying it.
Whats my point?
Its CHRISTMAS, HANUKKAH, KWANZAA whatever you celebrate, its time to think about OTHER people. Not just your own families but the other people.
Please do me a favor, no matter how small, do SOMETHING for someone else today. It can be as small as bake your neighbor cookies, buying $5 worth of canned food and dropping it off at a soup kitchen (really you can find the time to drive over there and not be selfish), or as large as buying a gift certificate to a local oil company and giving it to a needy family (they can help you do this, I know because my awesome hubby did it last year). There are no excuses, no matter how little you have, I can guarantee someone else has much less.
